PALS - People Alone Lending Support

Our Wangaratta PALS group meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month starting at 2pm in the Church Hall, with the common goal of providing friendship, fellowship and support to one another.  The group is diverse and inclusive, we welcome all ages, and you don't have to be living alone to come along and support those who do. We often have themed meetings, so you might be treated to an afternoon of games, a guest speaker, quizzes, a football day, sharing of favourite poetry, community singing etc.  Although members are encouraged to contribute on such days, you are welcome to talk or not.  We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed and we do have a lot of fun.  PALS wouldn't happen without a trusty band of amazing volunteers who serve afternoon tea, wash and clean up.  We do ask for a gold coin donation to help cover the cost of afternoon tea.

If you would like more information or wish to come along to a PALS meeting contact the Church Office on 5721 6555.

SALT - Sharing and Learning Together

Sharing and learning together (SALT) is a welcoming interdenominational group that meets on the third Monday evening of the month.  The gatherings alternate between the King Valley Learning Exchange in Moyhu and the Uniting Church Hall in Wangaratta.  Attended by members from the Uniting, Baptist, Anglican, Catholic, Wesleyan and Salvation Army churches - the group provides a space for fellowship, faith building and community.

Each meeting follows a familiar format: after a warm welcome, participants share announcements, a few light-hearted jokes and personal news.  A highlight of the evening is a shared meal, provided by the attendees, followed by a guest speaker or a discussion on topics that inspire and encourage members in their faith.  Local ministers regularly participate as guest speakers adding depth and variety to the discussions.  The evening concludes with desserts, cuppas and fellowship.

All are welcome to join in this vibrant community of faith and learning.

If you would like to come along to the next SALT meeting, contact the Church Office on 5721 6555
